GRUB 2009 DETAILS

18th Annual Grass Roots Ultimate Benefit Tournament

Dates
July 18-19

Location
Boulder, Colorado: Pleasant View Soccer Complex

Tournament Director
Baker.

Format
32 mixed teams, 2 Divisions, 11th Edition.
Format: 4 men / 3 women.
In the past we have not seen enough teams with women on the rosters to allow offense calls 3 men / 4 women ratios. However, in the A-Div captains are encouraged to play some 3/4 points, but no 5/2 points. In the B-div captains may agree to 5/2 offense calls. Captains need to agree to altering ratios before the start of games.

Cost
$40.00/player ($35 student rate) plus a refundable $300 team deposit. Please consider making an extra donation (see charity info below).

Beneficiary Information

Proceeds raised at GRUB 2009 were donated to the Carriage House Community Table to help fight homelessness in the City of Boulder. We will be collecting new applications in spring 2010.

We raise money from the team entry fees AND pledges from your friends, families and coworkers. As an incentive for you to raise pledges above the entry fee we will be giving prizes to individuals who can raise the largest donations.

FIELD USE
Remember as in most urban centers, quality recreational spaces are sparse and competitive adult ultimate does not get highest priority when it comes to obtaining this site. So be mindful of the surrounding neighbors, obey the park regulations, and use your common sense so that you do not jeopardize future ultimate events.

No glass bottles permitted on the fields.

Dogs are not permitted at GRU tournament events. Really no dogs, not in your car, not on a leash, not on the fields, and not in the parking lot.

Please do not practice at the Pleasant View site until the day of the tournament. If your team is coming in from out of town here is a link to a map of various field locations in Boulder: Fields. Please note that certain locations are by reservation only.

Violation of these rules or behavior deemed unacceptable will be grounds for expulsion from the tournament and the facility. The Grass Roots Ultimate Board of Directors (and its designees, including the Tournament Director) and the City of Boulder Recreation Staff reserve the right to enforce this policy.

OUT OF TOWN GUESTS
There is no camping on the fields, but we make lodging recommendations. Also, here is map other amenities
